Shaloha Aires grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii, before she and her family moved to Los Angeles when she was fifteen years old. She attended Harvard-Westlake High School in Los Angeles and attended Harvard College, graduating cum laude in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Mandarin. After graduation Shaloha joined the Harvard Schools Committee as an alumni volunteer and began interviewing students applying to her alma mater. She has been an interviewer in the Los Angeles and San Diego areas for the past seven years.
Shaloha started Savvy Prep to provide mentorship and peace of mind to high school students as they reach the important life milestone of being accepted into college. She has helped many navigate the application process by editing essays and providing guidance in application strategy.
Shaloha truly enjoys listening to her students’ stories and teaching them how to highlight their unique attributes in an application. She gives applicants the effective tools needed to build a strong narrative that showcases the best version of themselves while conveying their personal character and their full intellectual, extra-curricular, and professional potential.
